Would ya look at that little puddin’?!!! AT first, she wasn’t in love with being in that liquid. Thankfully, though, she warmed up to the idea and showed that perfectly precious little smirk of hers! I’m a sucker for her beautiful eyes as well.

Sweet Savannah Banana is the youngest of three. She has two big brothers who HAD to be part of the action.

First up is Jackson. This little spitfire!!! How could you not fall in love with that face? (Spoiler… you will fall in love. Period.)

And then there’s Harrison. He’s the first born and I remember when I first met him as a tiny little baby! HOW? How is it that all my clients are growing up and I am here standing still and of course, not aging one little bit? LOL. Let’s be real. I’m definitely getting older but man… as long as y’all keep coming back. I’ll be doing this job. So, the next time you’re thinking of doing outdoor photos of kids, hit me up. I have known Erin for quite a while. She was actually a DK employee back in the day. Erin was there before Andy and I got married. She was there when the kids were born. Erin is a big hearted, full of love person and I’m really grateful for her!! When she called me to come do family photos in Kirkersville, I was thrilled! They have this awesome old house on a pretty piece of property and her two youngest kids are a constant source of smiles. Don’t let the tiny bodies fool you. They contain a lot of personality! And… the bonus? A couple of adorable grandpas joined us!

One of the best parts about Erin and Anthony, is that they really enjoy life—as it is. We all know that life can be crazy, chaotic and unpredictable. Those two simply go with the flow and let life do its thing. It’s a quality I truly admire. That’s why this photo really represents who they are.

Who knew that family photos in Kirkersville could be so cute?!! I did. I knew. This family brings the fun, every single time.

I have to talk about the freckles and red hair in this bunch. I’m in LOVE!!!! Truth be told, I have serious freckle envy. I’ve always wanted freckles. Alas, I have none. Lucky for me, I get to photograph faces that have them.

Do you know one of the best parts of my job? Getting to capture little moments that aren’t part of the ‘plan’. This little moment between Anthony and little Viv just captured my heart. Their bond is obvious!

All in all, I’m calling this an awesome photo sessions and totally worth the drive to Kirkersville.

Would you just look at that face?! She’s sweet. She’s kind and while she may not love it when I force her in front of my camera, I love having her there. It made my heart happy to be out taking photos. It made my heart happier that it was my daughter.

I know life is not perfect right now. (Isn’t that an understatement?) We are all struggling with the way the world is and with how it’s changing our dy to day lives. The truth is, though, we still have to identify and embrace the little moments that bring us joy. I think that’s the key to survival and not just in a pandemic. For me, it’s morning cups of coffee, getting folks in front of my camera, a sleepy dog cuddled up next to me, alone time with my husband and those brief moments that my kids hold still and spend time with me. That’s why this picture makes me so happy. That’s my girl. So, I hope you can find some little piece of joy for yourself during these crazy times.
